Jan - the MAC issue is not somethign you would have done - sometimes the MAC address can change itself (has happened to me twice) - please check it. If it changes to the same MAC address as anything else on the same network, all sorts of odd things happen. To assign a static IP to the SB, use the remote to get to the settings menu on the SB and then "obtain IP address manually" and the type in a valid address in your IP range.
