Hi all, I've run into a problem where I can't get my SB3 to connect to the server anymore. I have tried to reset the SB3. My setup is as follows.
A SB3 is connected directly to a Mac Mini via an Ethernet cable, no wireless. The Mini is running Leopard 10.5.1. On the Mini the Ethernet is set to Manually configuration and the IP is 192.168.1.30, subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 Starting up a webbrowser I can go to 192.168.1.30:9000 and see SqueezeCenter. The SB3 does boot and allow me to choose networking to static address. I've giving the SB3 the address 192.168.1.40, subnet is set to 255.255.255.0. gateway and dns is set to 0. Music source is set to 192.168.1.30. Is there anything wrong with the above setup? I'm not using a crossover cable, it hasn't been a problem before. But just for fun I've found an old switch to put in between but it didn't help. I think my problems began when I tried to enable DHCP on the Mini. It didn't work and now I can't seem to get static IP working again.
