Last time I looked into packaging slimserver for Debian (which was a 
couple years ago), the info I found was that the contents of the HTML 
and Graphics directories were not available under a DFSG-free license 
(as well as Firmware, of course). If I recall correctly, most of my info 
came from Dan Sully. Has that changed?

The fonts in Graphics are pretty significant, since they are the fonts 
that render in the SB displays. Replacing them is certainly doable, but 
not trivial, and it's not something that I'd think a forker would 
consider part of a typical re-branding process.

Similarly, while parts of the HTML directory would certainly be modified 
in any re-branding, I don't think that being required to replace the 
entire thing (including reimplementing all the javascript code) would be 
expected.
