Does anyone have 6.5.5 (any nightly) running properly in Leopard? Before you answer that, do the following...
1. Is SlimServer running? If you see a display on your SB or can play music right now, then the answer is yes. 2. Next, open your System Preferences. 3. Then click on the SlimServer item. 4. Does the first button say "Stop Server" or "Start Server" ? 5. Is the second second button "Web Access" grey or enabled/active? Every nightly I've tried so far is able to play music and run the Squeezebox, however, the control panel does not work. Setting SS to launch "When I log in" does bring up the server each time the machine restarts (with auto-login enabled) but the control panel always thinks SS is not running. The first button always says "Start Server" and the second button is always disabled. I've been manually removing the prefpane each time I've tried a new nightly and have been installing for only the current user - without any errors reported through the GUI at install time. Anyone else seeing this? Leopard itself is one super-buggy cat, but I'd like to know where this problem is stemming from. BTW, the copyright date on the pref pane GUI still says "2002 - 2005" -- MelonMonkey Bruno *'Twisted Melon - Fine Mac OS Software' (http://twistedmelon.com) | 'mira - Personal Control for your Apple Remote' (http://twistedmelon.com)* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MelonMonkey's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42383 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
