I had problem with Avast, BUT I have had it for a long time and do not recall any issues with it and slimserver in the past, so I am not sure. I reinstalled it since, but I am not going to retry from scratch (library is large).
We just need to know that there should be both a scanner.exe and a scanner.pl under a windows install.
