You don't give much information - what OS are you running, what version
of Slimserver and are your running with the SB wired or wireless?

One thing that might cause this (if you are running wireless) is an IP
conflict or a firewall problem. I saw behaviour very like this
recently, when we booted up an old PC which had a fixed IP address
which was already taken by one of the SBs. The PC could connect ok,
but the SB kept getting knocked off the network.

Are you running wireless and did you let your router manage the process
of giving out an IP address to the SB? If so, try specifying a fixed IP
address during the SB set up process - to one outside your router DCHP
range. So, if your router allocates addressed
192.168.0.1-192.168.0.100 (for example) make the SB=192.168.0.101.
Does this fix your problem?

The other thing to look out for, as vrobin mentions, is wireless
interference. How many wireless networks do you have around you? What
channels are they on? Can you change your channel to a non-overlapping
one with other local networks?
