Yes it can, but whether particular stations are available will depend to an extent on the format of the stream and whether a password or user account is required.
For example, the BBC streams radio largely in Real Audio. This isn't natively supported by the SB so requires a Slimserver plugin. As a result, those BBC streams aren't available on Squeezenetwork. The BBC does have a few .mp3 streams which will work on Squeezenetwork, but they are geographically limited to UK listeners. Similarly, any embedded Flash radio stream (Stream the World) won't work on SN or the SB - that type of streaming is designed to require a user to go to an internet page and listen that way. Squeezenetwork does support Pandora, Rhapsody, Live365 and many many radio stations. If there are key stations you're interested in, let us know and we can advise if they are likely to work on SN. -- Siduhe ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Siduhe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=723 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42875 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
