Oh, hey, I just thought of something.  The Squeezebox normally uses port
9000 for server communication.. maybe they have that port reserved in
the code, either server side or squeezebox side.  Try changing your
httpd to 8080.

Another option would be to allow port forwarding on your router and
only allow the slimdevices IP block to connect to the port.  Then you
could use the external port of your router to play the stream.

Shouldn't cause too much load on your NAT.
