Those are decoupling caps for the main 5V power supply. It is hard to guess exactly what happens without them - that's the sort of thing that has to be tested with lab equipment. It's possible it might work fine without them, because we went a little overkill with them and there a few other ones elsewhere on that board. However, even if it still apparently works, I would advise having them replaced as there may be implications for EMI or other less obvious things.
