Try selecting a different device option on the Devices menu. I have an
Intel chipset in my laptop that appears listed as both Prism 2 & NDIS
5.1. Netstumbler only works with NDIS selected.

As an aside, I have found that Netstumbler & the SB3's own signal
strength meters differ. I set mine by displaying signal strength on the
SB3, then experimenting with the aerial position on the router for max
signal. I found that placing the aerial horizontally significantly
improved signal strength on the SB3 but had no effect on that recorded
by Netstumbler.

Then switch through channels one at a time & note both signal strength
AND stability. On some channels found the signal strength was
initially high but then dropped significantly after a minute or two.
You can then compile a list of channels in order of performance.

Then use Netstubler if/when you experience problems to identify other
devices. You can then try other channels in order of preference from
your list.

Also note that some microwave ovens, among other appliances, can cause
interference that won't be shown by Netstumbler.
