Brain, what would really help all of us to help you is to know what operating system you are using. With out that it coudl be anybodies guess as to what has happened.
Also a number of people here have found that they need to install SC7 twice or more to get it to respond properly on a Windows machine. Also if your are using Vista then please read the sticky post at the top of the General Discussion Forum.
