Perhaps this is way beyound what you're asking :-D Just try different things and move the SB3. I have tried a bunch of many different things realizing that the solutions I didn't originally believe was workable could be the best....
I have had good experiences with granite plates (bought from the local stone shop) under a CD player, never tried that under the SB, but it doesn't cost much to try... Another thing that I tried that really really works is setting spiked speakers on top of a heavy granite plate (much heavier than the speakers) and then put the granite plate on top of some kind of rubber-like feet. This improved dynamics (in my setup) more than I would ever have imagined.... and it sounds more natural... I'm NOT kidding..... Don't ask me what's happing, but this improves the setup a lot..... regards Harald N -- haraldo Suse Linux / SC7 -> SB3 -> Benchmark DAC1 -> Krell KAV400xi -> Meadowlark Kestrel2 Everything is difficult before it's easy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ haraldo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13472 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43677 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
