When you run Squeezecenter, it will say there are no players available, under extras (mid to bottom left of the home screen) there will be a link to download softsqueeze (free software version of the Squeezebox)
Once downloaded it will play your music on your PC. Yes Softsqueeze is a mediaplayer.
