All 14000 MP3 songs have correct TPE1 and TPE2 tags. Everything is tagged according ID3v2.3.0 All files have embedded JPGs as album art, and album art shows up fine.
All my music shows up fine when loaded into iTunes or WMP11 (on a different macine). Also examining the MP3s with ID3-Tag 3 or a hex editor show they are fine. I've just installed MySQL tools on my media server and will examine the tables to uncover the weirdness.
