I have both the n770 and the new controller (and I spent a day using an itouch for this purpose). I think the new controller is much better. But to be fair I should qualify that by saying: I'm a gadget guy (which, actually, is why I got the nokia in the first place); I tend to be in the one-device-for-one-function camp rather than in the all-functions-on-one-device camp; I am not very good at watching my pennies (see gadget guy above) and tend to want the new, new thing and don't get too worked up about getting my money's worth. So if you had the budget for just one gadget and you really wanted a hand-held device that could control squeezeboxen AND browse the internet then you should explore the nokia or iphone. If you want a better remote for your squeezeboxen then get the controller. One other thing, I've had the nokia for over a year and neither my kids or my wife ever used it.
