Has anybody at slim thought about starting an area called "look here first?"
You could have the problems everybody is asking about in a summary that includes how important you think it is and whether anyone there is working on it. Also, you could indicate whether the code that needs changing is open source or hardware-based... This would also give everyone an opportunity to be harsh with people who don't ask good questions...
