They both have the appropriate names in "Album Artist" tag in all the files. I just double checked that.
When you say list albums by band, do you mean the check box "Band/Orchestra" on the Library tab? If so then no I didn't have that on. I'm just rebuilding now, I have 25000 songs so it takes a bit. What's weird is that Bob Seager's greatest hits is fine. I wonder if it's first artist A and last artist Z related. Though that would be a wild bug.
