Default settings are always debatable.  IMO, the current defaults could
use some reviewing, as I find many in a new installation that seem
illogical from the standpoint of what I think the average user would
want.  For people having used the server for several years, maybe they
don't ever see the defaults from a new installation.  One thing that
really bugs me is that a new install will launch a scan before you can
set things like multi-disc grouping, so you have to wait for the scan
to complete (or figure out how to kill it) before you can scan the
library correctly.

I don't use the remote interface a lot, but isn't it pretty easy to use
the Home button or left arrows to get back Home?  You don't need to know
where you are in the nav tree.  The inverse isn't nearly as true - it'
not always quick to navigate back to where you were.
