I'm still having teething problems with my kitchen-sited Receiver: I
can't get sync to work reliably with the SB3 in the living-room, and
even playing it on its own tonight, the kitchen unit was bombing out
from time to time.

I think that quite simply the signal in our kitchen is too weak, and
there's probably lots of interference from the central heating. The
controller's info screen was reporting a signal strength of 41 - not
very good at all. Clearly, I have Network Issues (which usually means
too few chickens sacrificed of late).

But I've hit a separate issue. I've moved the kitchen SBR into the
living-room, right next to the SB3. Now, using SqueezeCenter's status
page, I can see that the signal strength is roughly similar (64 for the
SB3, 60 for the kitchen) (*). But the Controller still says that the
signal strength on the SBR is 41. Clearly, it's not updating. I've
tried navigating away from the screen, and back again, but it's still
41, some 10 minutes after the move.

So, how often is the Controller supposed to update its info? And is
there any way to kick it into refreshing? As it stands, I can't rely
on it for checking the signal strength perceived by any receiver, so
will have to drag a laptop around to use SqueezeCenter - possible, but
a pain! (Of course, this is assuming that SC is accurate...)

I forgot to look in SqueezeCenter before moving the SBR to see if it
agreed with the controller then; but I think when I looked yesterday
the kitchen was significantly worse than the living-room.

It's fun (in a strange way) to walk around the house with the
controller's network page and see how the network signal-to-noise ratio
varies; at least that's updated dynamically. It would be nice to have a
single screen on the controller that showed the signal strength for a
receiver (or, heck, for all receivers, if this can be done), and the
network SNR.

(*) Yes, these are a bit low; I was getting 70-ish on the SB3 before I
moved the SBR beside it. It's picked up a bit since.
