If you have a Mac, you can remove the DRM tags using a trick with iMovie but you need iMovie HD. The only downside is that you won't get any of the extras such as album art. There are also a couple of applications that you can download from the internet. If you are using Windows then try doubletwist. There is no Mac version so I do not know the details but it looked like it was pretty simple to use.
