Thanks for this tip! I've had my Duet for a week or two and hadn't noticed it yet, but sure enough scratch marks were developing on the back.
I cut a 1/2 inch strip of black sticky-back felt wide enough for the back and stuck it on the inside of the stand with just a tiny bit covering the top edge.
