Hi! Just got the Duet (upgraded from a 1st gen Slimp3).
All of my music files are created as MP3's at the highest quality variable bitrate available using the Roxio suite. Have never had any playbaock issues on any portable units. I have the latest Squuezecenter installed. Using the Squeezebox & Controller, the track info details on the controller displays all of these files as 160 CBR. I can not find a setting anywhere to change to playback at the encoded bitrate. Is the player throttling these tracks, or is it a display issue? I should also note that I located the bitrate limiting option in the squeeze center config and it is set to "no limit".
