Thanks Michael. javascript is enabled in IE7 (at least, "use java" is ticked in advanced options). I do use Kaspersky, but don't know about javascript being scanned - will check. I'll check task man when I load it next. Kasp may have updated, will check logs. I've excluded the dirs that the .my* files live in, but I'll exclude the files types too. I've already excluded squeezecenter.exe, mysql.exe etc. Scan always completes fine, about 19 mins for 14,000 tracks.
