I'm thinking of getting a Duet remote & receiver. I will place the receiver at one end of my kitchen where I know that it will get a sufficiently strong connection to my router so that it can connect to my Slimsever.
However, as I walk to the other end of my kitchen I know that the Wi-Fi signal drops quite a lot. If I take the remote to that end of the room I don't think it would get a reliable connection to my router. Obviously the remote will still be very close to the actual receiver so will it be able to connect directly to the receiver, missing out my wireless router and still be able to control the receiver as well as all the other SB3s in the house that are connected through my wireless router?
