John, Thanks for the feedback. I posted about similar controller issues earlier today in the Beginners forum. I'll have a play with WPS and see if things improve a little.
Ultimately I'd expect an active device on a small uncongested LAN not to drop packets at all but I guess wifi factors in a few variables.
