I have serious sync problems and we (slim tech support) have established that the machine I run SC7.0 on does not keep good time. In my case this was identified with the sync.player logging option set to debug, resulting in a constant stream of 'adjust jiffies epoch...'
I have only experienced re-buffering problems when I had problems with wireless connectivity.
