I have just fired up SqueezeCenter and I can now see what you mean :-) Interestingly enough the link to the SoftSqueeze download knows which computer and port SqueezeCenter is running on and would work from any machine if clicked on, but the link to the stream.mp3 does not and assumes localhost:9000.
Personally I would say that is a minor bug. I don't know enough about the internal workings of SqueezeCenter to say whether or not changing the settings.txt is the going to cause any issues.
