The battery cover of my controller is not closed tight and creaks everytime I grab it. It's almost new and never dropped. I can't appreciate its craftsmanship at all. Look at the inside of the cover. It's locked only at the top and the bottom, not at the side. And there is a small vertical strut under the tiny sponge. With this structure (yeah... I was an architectural engineer :)), it can't last long in place.
