well, the question doesn't seem to match the thread title - you're
really asking about using a NAS for running SqueezeCenter? There are
lots of threads on this in the third party hardware board.

The thing is that you can use a NAS (with no other computer) IF and
only if the NAS is capable of running the SqueezeCenter software. In
which case the NAS is really being a rather slow computer which may be
up to what you are asking for.

You can buy some NAS devices on which its not too hard to install the
SC software, but IMHO if you are not prepared to fiddle you are
probably better off finding an old spare computer to run SC on.
