It's looks like its fixed in 7.1 now (it's had been there for a while first 7.1 for me).
You have "Album Sort Method" under advanced settings: Album Artist,Year,Album Artist,Album I deem the Year option pretty hard to use as Year tags is always wrong from the getgo on most tag databases.
