Sorry to resurrect again but now that I know about squeezeslave I have something to play with on the xbox... Thanks search feature! I bet the "unauthorized" adapter in question here is the "Frozen Cable" available on some sites. In regards to h.264...I watched a trailer of Indiana Jones the other day in h.264 thru xmbc running on my xbox without issue so this thread had me scratching my head a little. The trailer must be one of the supported resolutions mentioned below. Here is an update incase anyone runs across this again: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_Media_Center The Xbox is now able to play MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) encoded videos with CABAC and deblocking if the video-resolution is under 720x400 pixels. For instructions, click here. If videos are encoded without CABAC and deblocking, then the Xbox hardware can handle up to 720x576 pixels video-resolution. If encoding with MPEG-4 ASP (like DivX or XviD), then the video's native-resolution can be anything up to 960x540 pixels (also known as HRHD resolution). -- hashref ------------------------------------------------------------------------ hashref's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1976 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46020 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
