I ran into problems after upgrading to 7.1.0 from 7.0.1 on my mac. A
clean install as described in the support Faq's was almost the
solution, it took one extra step not described in the faq which I'll
list here:

After trying the 7.1.0 upgrade that failed I had a 7.1.0 bad install
that needed to be cleaned, and unbeknownst to me a 7.0.1 install that
needed to be cleaned as well.

Here are the steps I performed:

I installed 7.1.0 for the logged in user only.

As described by this Faq:

Tutorial: Clean install of SqueezeCenter on Mac OS X

http://slimdevices.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/slimdevices.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=8380&p_created=1210636743&p_sid=dXlQE7aj&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9NCw0JnBfcHJvZHM9MCZwX2NhdHM9JnBfcHY9JnBfY3Y9JnBfcGFnZT0xJnBfc2VhcmNoX3RleHQ9Y2xlYW4*&p_li=&p_topview=1

I did the following:

Opened up terminal in Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal and type
the following:

1. ~ $ rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/SqueezeCenter/
2. ~ $ rm ~/Library/PreferencePanes/SqueezeCenter.prefPane/
3. ~ $ rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/SqueezeCenter

Here comes step 4, important if you already installed 7.0.1!!!

4. ~ $ rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/SlimServer

Hope that helps
