I have a HP Mediasmart server with 2G RAM installed with Squeezecenter and two squeezebox receivers.
Generally I am delighted with the equipment and functionality. However I am continuing to experience problems where Squeezecenter is failing to complete the scan on my music directory fully. It always fails at the various artist stage but not at the same point. The result is I have no artwork (until I play an album), the worst thing is that my various artist album tracks all appear in the artist list; something I definitely dont want. Things were OK until I ripped my last batch of 18 or so albums. I currently have 384 albums (4908 tracks) in my library but have stopped ripping until I can get this problem resolved. I have moved artists in and out of my music folder and re-scanned countless times but to no avail. I have updated to SC version 7.1 hoping that this may help however the music scan is still failing at the same stage. I have successfully added more music the system this evening (1CD) so the ripping side seems OK. I am using EAC to create FLAC files. I wonder if anyone can assist. I have reached the end of my fairly limited knowledge; all I want to do is enjoy my music!
