I thought I would post quick about an issue I had upgradeing to 7.1 from 7.02. The OS was Gentoo but could happen anywhere. What happened was that I would attempt to start slimserver after the upgrade and Migration.pm line 115 kept blowing up with things such as "The table '#sql-fa4_31' is full".
I have plenty of extra drive space and memory. Searching around I did not have much luck finding a fix but it appears that a handful of other posts have been made over the years and deleting the database appears to have been the only solution. I got lucky and found that the problem has to do with a maximum file size setting in MySQL. In my.cnf originally I had: innodb_data_file_path = ibdata1:10M:autoextend:max:128M and replaced it with: innodb_data_file_path = ibdata1:10M:autoextend And the upgrade finished normally. According to http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/full-table.html this setting appears to place a size limit on things like alter table and such. Hopefully this post will help out somone else or cause a helpful message added to the server.log. -James -- James Van Vleet ------------------------------------------------------------------------ James Van Vleet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19147 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50619 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
