Right, ok. Thats actually what I thought then i first posted. The WEP key is what was used when your wirless network was set up. The same one you used to connect your new laptop to the wireless network.
As I said before, controlling SqueezeCenter from any other PC or Mac on your wireless network should be as simple as entering http://<IP_of_imac>:9000/ in the browser. Although, just clicking on that link won't work you actually need to use the IP address of the computer running SqueezeCenter for that to work. usually it would be something along the lines of http://192.168.0.1:9000/ or something similar. Are there any firewalls running on the iMac? if so you will need to allow it to to give access to Port 9000 from external connections. If you are struggling, it might be an idea to read through the begginers section of the wiki to see if you can sort it all out. http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Category:Beginners_Guide_Pages Or call support, thats what they are there for. -- funkstar ------------------------------------------------------------------------ funkstar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50610 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
