Just in case somebody else has trouble with wireless connection on a receiver (or other SB). Here's what was a solution for me:
After months of absolutely flawless operation this morning my SB Receiver started to have severe WLAN connectivity problems resulting in interrupted playback every 2-3 tracks. Since it was standing in the same place as before I didn't think it was really a reception issue. What it DID turn out to be was the switchable multi-socket power cord I attached it to. Fully reproducible: exchange the cord to a non-switchable one: works fine as before. Put it back: bad reception. Obviously that switch is generating lots of noise in the 5.8 GHz band.
