I have same problem with 7.1 (official) and 7.0.1 (it worked in some cases, but mostly did not) on Windows XP (Czech locale). I do not have any antivirus running, it is clean install (updated with latest Windows update patches). I am not able rescan anything on the network drive, although I see all files in the "Music folder" menu (and can play them). Network share is mapped to drive Z:, but it does not work even referred by UNC path (\\server\share), although I can see and play files in both cases using "Music folder".
Interesting is that 7.1 (the rest is about 7.1 version) scans 2 example music files installed on local drive (in Documents/Music/Examples folder - don't know exact name, it is localized in my instalation), which is choosen as playlist folder. And more interesting, it scans them even if I put playlist folder into another location (like E:/test, existing empty directory) and clear library and rescan. Another thing is that if I play album using "Music folder" menu, it appears in the library. In the scanner log appear some error messages, I remember only something about readonly namespace, followed by stack trace. Another interesting information could be the system drive is "E". Also I see some glitches with unicode folder names (localized Application Data folder name), but I am unsure if it causes any problems. The problem was "solved" downgrading back to 7.0, which works flawlessly. I can install it again and try to provide you with any details I will be able to find out, if you will need them. -- Lami ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lami's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19242 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50688 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
