Greetings, all -

Bryan has informed me that he'd like to get the site's bare minimum tasks
up and running by mid-to-late January, in time for a conference. In order
for us to make sure the bare minimum tasks are accounted for, we need to
form a list of pages that we think encompass the bare minimum.

To clarify the intent the request I'm asking you all to partake in...

1) I'm taking an inventory of required pages, be they already written and
in production, in the process of being written, in need of correction, or
brand new. This isn't merely a request of what others think is still
needed, rather an "inventory assessment", if you will, of ensuring we have
everything we need to go live.

2) The pages that should be considered bare minimum should be pages that
are required to satisfy our prime goal of users signing up and becoming
patrons of projects. Other items (e.g. wiki pages, discussion boards,
etc.) are wonderful icing on the cake and are nice to have and definitely
help with our development workflow, but the truth is that we could continue
to have patrons sign up and fund projects without them, so they're not
considered a bare minimum.

Once we have the list of pages that are deemed essential bare minimum
pages, we can begin to assess whether or not they exist at all, what each
page needs in order to be functional enough for go-live, and whether or not
those pages fit that need. We can also see what it would take for them to
be aligned to the new designs that Robert has been coming up with to have a
consistent look and feel throughout the bare essential pages.

I started (and continue to edit) the list on a new Etherpad that Aaron has
set up for us (https://v.etherpad.org/p/snowdrift). If you can take some
time (preferably before Tuesday) to hop over to the Etherpad, review the
list I started and make any edits you feel important (adding additional
pages, adding commentary for us to consider, etc.), I would greatly
appreciate it. Once we feel everyone's had a chance to weigh in on the
pages and we're good with the list that is there, I'll bring the list over
to our beta-sprint wiki page for a more semi-permanent home for the list.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, this e-mail chain or the
Etherpad would be great places to raise them.

Thanks a lot, everyone!!

- Jason (JazzyEagle)
