FYI - Galvanize IT is partnering with University of New Haven to start another data science masters in the Bay Area. You can find their promotional material here (despite the fact that they're still looking for someone to help design the masters!):
http://galvanizeu.com The cool thing about them is they're trying to create a new hybrid model for academia, where you'd be appointed as a bona fide professor, and be expected to focus on consulting as opposed to research. Another good option is the Masters in Data Science here at Cal. I am in the middle of teaching machine learning for them and they are making rapid progress on the platform. The static content is a little sub-par compared to e.g., EdX or Coursera, but they're using some adobe connect-backed tech for interactive sessions that's pretty well thought out. It's not clear what your appointment would be here, probably lecturer or adjunct professor. They also need course designers. Pay would be comparable to a standard academic gig (good for academia in general, but weak for a data science person in the Bay Area). If you're interested in either of these things, let me know! I'll put you in touch with the right people. Best, -- Dav Clark Data Scientist UC Berkeley D-Lab dlab.berkeley.edu 510-664-7000
