Hi,
1. Work on reorganizing the repository is ongoing - you can see the
first results at https://github.com/swcarpentry/sql-novice-survey, which
is the novice SQL lesson. There's still a fair bit of reformatting to
do (help would be greatly appreciated), and it's raised a couple of
questions about the template (like "how do we title challenges?"), but I
hope that the other core novice lessons will be in place before next
week's lab meeting.
2. Even after this split, we might go with a small zip file containing
the files and directories needed for various lessons so that learners
can set that up before the start of the workshop (or at least download
the zip file). I'm reformatting the novice Python lesson over the
weekend, and should have an example ready by early next week for inspection.
Thanks to everyone who's been helping pull the history out of the 'bc'
repo - it's a tedious job, but we're close to being done, and we should
be able to get back on track soon.
cheers,
Greg

Hi Damien,
I guess what I'm asking is - we are going with the small repo as opposed to
zip file approach, right?
Yes, we are going with the small repo.
Context: This question comes as I'm preparing to teach a workshop in
February (I'm assuming the repo split will be done by then?)
AFAIK Greg and everyone is working hard to this be done before the meeting [1].
Cheers,
Raniere
