+1 to all of what Bill said.

I used it for the Shell and it was fantastic. What I really liked about it
was that you can see the rate students submit an answer - this helps you
pace when to take up the question or when to give students more time.

Indeed a dry run is necessary. A couple of issues to watch out for are* (1)*
line breaks in your code can be tricky (Andrew MacDonald had the great
insight to insert code as an image to bypass this issue) and *(2) *which of
the 3 quiz presentation options to use - I strongly recommend
"Teacher-Paced" .

Lastly, Socrative does let you share quizzes. This can be done via
socrative and also via an excel template. It might be a good idea for those
of us who have made socrative quizzes to put them in the repo of
the lessons they were created for so everyone doesn't have to make their
quiz from scratch.
