The Software Carpentry Mentoring sub-committee is happy to announce that the Software + Data Carpentry Instructor & Helper Retreat now has 12 sites world-wide and 8 sessions that will be broadcast globally!
Countries hosting sites now include Australia, Poland, UK, Canada and the US. To find a site near you where you can participate please visit the Retreat website (http://swcarpentry.github.io/instructor-retreat-2015/). If there is no site in your local, it is not too late to get one setup. To get the ball rolling please contact the mentoring sub-committee: [email protected] The 8 sessions that will be broadcast globally <http://swcarpentry.github.io/instructor-retreat-2015/#broadcast> include presentations, tutorials and round table discussions on topics on a variety of topics relevant to teaching Software and Data Carpentry workshops. We still have room on the schedule for more sessions, so if you have an idea for a session please let us know! You can also participate in the retreat remotely by watching our globally broadcast sessions, connecting remotely to a group that is meeting locally in/near your timezone, and/or giving a globally broadcast session.
