In response to my request for comments on the "Good Enough Practices in
Scientific Computing" outline, Titus Brown fired up a tool called
hypothes.is, which allows users to annotate web pages. You can see it
in action here:
https://via.hypothes.is/swcarpentry.github.io/good-enough-practices-in-scientific-computing/
(Look in the upper right of your browser for a '<' button, then click on
that to expand the sidebar to see comments.) Titus has comments about
hypothes.is itself at
http://ivory.idyll.org/blog/2015-using-hypothesis-on-workshop-sites.html, where
he also discusses how it could be used in Data Carpentry and Software
Carpentry workshops. Lots of good ideas here - comments on Titus's post
would be very welcome, and if anyone would like to get a hypothes.is
account and add comments on the "Good Enough" paper as well, that would
be a great way for us to build up some experience using it.
Cheers,
Greg
