Hello all,

Last week in Manchester we were running the First CoDiMa Training School
in Computational Discrete Mathematics (http://www.codima.ac.uk/school2015/)
and a part of it was the Software Carpentry workshop.

It included the beta-testing of a new lesson "Programming with GAP", to
give to learners, many of whom were UK PhD students specialising in algebra,
a hands-on introduction into GAP (http://www.gap-system.org/), an open-source
system for discrete computational algebra. From the feedback we've collected
on stickers after the lesson, the content of the lesson seem to be received
quite well.

If you'd like to have a look, please follow these links:

Best wishes
Alexander
