Hi all,

Don't mean to self-promote, but in case it helps others: I've developed a
workshop on building academic sites, which I've presented 4 or 5 times at
UC Berkeley. The first day goes over basic communication goals, design,
content architecture, etc, and then the second day walks through an
implementation of wordpress. You can find the materials here (pdf
download), although some of it may be out of date:

Hope this helps,
Rochelle
