Hi all, Don't mean to self-promote, but in case it helps others: I've developed a workshop on building academic sites, which I've presented 4 or 5 times at UC Berkeley. The first day goes over basic communication goals, design, content architecture, etc, and then the second day walks through an implementation of wordpress. You can find the materials here (pdf download), although some of it may be out of date: http://rochelleterman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Building-Academic-Web.pdf
Hope this helps, Rochelle On Thu, Dec 17, 2015 at 7:17 PM, Dirk Eddelbuettel <[email protected]> wrote: > > What about OpenScholar which AFAIK was made for this (by Harvard) ? > > http://theopenscholar.org/ > > https://github.com/openscholar/openscholar/ > > Disclaimer: I only know of it and have not used it. > > Dirk > > -- > http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com | @eddelbuettel | [email protected] > > _______________________________________________ > Discuss mailing list > [email protected] > > http://lists.software-carpentry.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss_lists.software-carpentry.org > -- Rochelle Terman Ph.D. Candidate, Political Science, University of California Berkeley email: [email protected] phone: +1 (510) 326-3644 www.rochelleterman.com
