Hi,
We'd be happy to generalize the template a bit to make it easier to
handle other logos, and to provide options to the checking tool so that
it doesn't complain about such differences. We're also thinking about
taking advantage of some new features in Jekyll 3.3 to simplify a few
things, and will start talking in January about using configuration data
to order the episodes rather than relying on names like 01-intro,
02-basics, etc. (which makes reordering difficult).
You might also want to have a look at the Morea Framework
(http://morea-framework.github.io/) - it requires more Jekyll knowledge,
but it also does more for you, particularly with regard to recycling
exercises etc.
Cheers,
Greg

Hi,
I did this before the recent template visual overhaul, see
https://uio-cees.github.io/hpc-lessons/. A few challenges are swapping
out the logo’s and what to do with the license (LICENSE file) - if you
change it the command to check the site will protest (at least when I
last used it). Otherwise it works well. I suppose it works for many
languages out of the box.

Has anyone used the lesson-template for their own courses? Have you

I am creating some hands on training materials and was wondering if a
good approach would be to start with the lesson template. I have
never developed one of the lessons myself but I did find the workshop
template easy to use, and I like the way the lessons are compiled in
many formats.
One requirement is that it be language-agnostic (but mostly for R,
python, and matlab).
Thanks
David
