Dear Software Carpenters - more specifically, the South Africans amongst you.

I'll get straight to the point : I've been working on the EC H2020
Sci-GaIA project for the past few months and I'd like to invite you
all to the final event, to be held in Pretoria 23 and 24 March, 2016
at the CSIR Convention Centre - see http://www.sci-gaia.eu/final-event
(or just register directly at https://agenda.ct.infn.it/event/1235/)

We will be talking about doing science on the web, how we built an
Open Science Platform (http://www.sci-gaia.eu/osp) and what the future
holds for Open. We've learned a lot from Mozilla Science Lab, and
Data/Software Carpentry, amongst others, so we would really like to
have you there. Although not directly involved in "X Carpentry", we
have adopted a lot of the methodology, and push the initiative
strongly at our hackfests, which we've held in Catania, Lagos, and
Addis Ababa. We've worked hard to make them reproducible
(https://github.com/AAROC/e-Research-Hackfest-prep) and inclusive.

If anyone would like to attend, please let me know. I'd also
appreciate it if you would consider distributing it to other
communities. Feel free to start a discussion topic on the forum -
http://discourse.sci-gaia.eu, or drop be a line, I'd love to hear from
you.

Thanks !

PS, we still have one or two slots open for speakers, so let me know
if anyone wants to give a "Software Carpentry 4 Open Science 4 Ever"
talk...

High-5, looking forward to hearing from you all.
Bruce
