not so far - mostly they just type!  but in any case my learners very
rarely enter anything other than answers to specific questions on the
etherpad.

:) I dislike the confusing aspect of the colors.

I think we could spin up a hackmd too - it's open source! But yes, I think
having things in a group-editable etherpad is problematic for the long term...
I've seen it deleted too many times.
