An interesting post from Mike Caulfield https://hapgood.us/2017/07/19/information-underload/ leads to a shorter post that's very relevant to the Carpentries from David Wiley https://opencontent.org/blog/archives/5103. The short form is that we're close to exhausting the scope for improving lives by making things easier to find, because so much of what's findable is low quality; to increase leverage, we're going to have to shift focus to improving the quality of what's findable. I think there's lots in the articles to think about...
