Mark Guzdial (from whose blog https://computinged.wordpress.com/ and
other writings I learned much of what I know about teaching coding) has
started an interesting thread on Twitter to find out what questions
people would like CS ed research to tackle:
https://twitter.com/guzdial/status/926459324129579009
The thread was inspired by Begel and Zimmermann's excellent "Analyze
This!" paper https://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=2568233, which explored
what questions software engineers would like software engineering
research to answer. Mark would welcome comments on the Twitter thread
about what we would like - a partial list from his research group is
online at
https://computinged.wordpress.com/2017/11/03/open-research-questions-in-computing-education-2017-edition/.
Cheers,
Greg
